Class 4 Residential 2017 to Heatree House, Dartmoor

“Rock Scrambling is an off-site activity, taking place in the middle of Dartmoor itself. It was vital that we stayed close as a group in case of getting lost or injured. From there we then navigated our way around and through the rocks on the Tor.”  – Bethany & Yara

“Residential was a great experience for all of us. We learnt new skills every day and learned to work together.” – Isla

“The first thing that we did was rock scrambling. You had to crawl/climb through tiny crevices and splash through rivers. We also got to send my teddy [Toby] down on a zip wire.” -Jay

“The first thing that my group did was high ropes. I didn’t really want to do it but I still gave it a go. On the high ropes the first challenge was where you had to climb to the second platform.  The Second challenge was where you had to climb this massive rope ladder called Jacobs ladder. I made it half way up and Kelsey and Isla were the only people to make it to the top.” – Josh

“My favourite parts of Heatree were the crates and the Foosball (a football table). My favourite part of the crates, was the part where I got knocked down by Stew (one of the staff) then I turned back and knocked Tom back off. The Foosball was really fun for everybody  and it was so amusing, I think it was my favourite part of the trip!” Harvey M

“My favourite part was the stream scramble, where you walk through the stream.” Stanley

“The best activity was Stream scrambling, as we kept falling over and our clothes got soggy and we got saturated.” Alfie & Harvey O

“Our residential was amazing it was a great experience and offered bonding time for the whole class. Not only did it boost our confidence it also was great fun and the mud was so cool. When we went stream scrambling Alfie fell over about ten times which made us all laugh what I can say, we had a blast!” Seren
